HOTELS, APARTMENTS, VACATION RENTALS AND BED AND BREAKFAST IN WAIKIKI
Waikiki is a neighborhood in Honolulu and also gives its name to the famous Waikiki Beach, surely the most famous of all Hawaii islands.
The neighborhood stretches from the Wai Canal Wing in the northwest to the Diamond Head volcano in the east.
It is definitely the busiest neighborhood in all of Honolulu. It’s perfect for shopping, eating in the many restaurants, drinking in bars and pubs and of course relaxing on the famous beach.
Visiting Waikiki
The centrepiece of this neighborhood is Kalakaua Avenue, comparable to the Strip of “Las Vegas”: gl-2436704, with lights and signs, chic and luxury shops and gourmet restaurants. Booking a hotel room is probably the best option for visiting Waikiki.
And of course the famous beach. Here you can relax in the sun, swim, dive, kayak and surf.
Booking a hotel room is probably the best option for visiting Waikiki.
From Waikiki beach stands the silhouette of the Diamond Head volcano. With a not very demanding walk you can reach the top and see the magnificent panorama. In winter, with a little luck, you can also watch the whales down in the bay.
This neighborhood increases its charm considerably in the evening, when the lights come on and the locals and tourists start to crowd in. It’s a neighborhood that shows its purely “western” soul. Taking a walk on Kalakaua Avenue first and then resting on the beach is a perfect combination.
Also worth a visit is the Waikiki Aquarium (2777 Kalakaua Ave.), the Waikiki Shell, a beautiful theatre in Kapiolani Park (3840 Paki Ave.), a beautiful park perfect for relaxation and walks. In the southern part of the park, we find the Kapiolani Beach Park.
Don’t miss the opportunity to take a tour with the Atlantis Submarine that will take you into the deep blue sea to discover coral reefs, wrecks and generally the beautiful and colorful life in the beautiful sea of Waikiki. More info here

Nearby Waikiki, Honolulu
For many visitors, a holiday home in Honolulu on O’ahu is just a stopover on the way to other Hawaiian destinations such as the surfing paradise of Maui or the eastern island of Big Island. If you want to explore the other islands from Honolulu, local airlines such as Hawaiian Airlines or Island Air Hawaii will take you to your Hawaii Accommodation, in about half an hour, while on O’ahu you can use the award-winning public bus network with twelve lines. If you’re spending your vacation in an apartment in Lahaina on Maui, you should use your visit to the old whaler town to visit the Pioneer Inn, a centennial whaler pub with sea views.
