Popular accommodations in Barcelona-Sagrada Família
Located in the L’ Eixample district of Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia takes its name from the iconic Basilica of the same name. Indeed, the towering structure dominates the entire area, and it is easily the locality’s main attraction. However, there is far more to this very pretty area of Spain than the Basilica, as fine examples of interesting and unique architecture can be found at every turn. If you’re looking for a quiet, residential area in which to base yourself during a visit to Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia certainly fits the bill. Vacation Rentals in La Sagrada Familia will allow you to lose yourself in local life – something hotels simply can’t do.
Vacation Rentals in La Sagrada Familia Combine Comfort and Luxury
There is no escaping the Sagrada Familia Basilica when you visit this part of Barcelona, as it dominates the skyline with elegance and sheer scale. This Roman Catholic Church has been given a number of honours during the years, including World Heritage status from UNESCO and official Basilica status from the Pope. Perhaps the most astonishing aspect of this iconic building, however, is the fact that its architect – acclaimed Spaniard Gaudi – died with only around a quarter of the project completed. Incredibly, it is estimated that the building will take until at least 2026 before it is finally completed. The Basilica and the dazzling array of architecture La Sagrada Familia is known for is best observed at close-quarters, and renting an apartment in Barcelona from 9flats.com gives you a luxurious, private home in which to explore the area closely.
Accommodation in La Sagrada Familia Allows You to Live as the Locals Do
If you’re in search of more Gaudi masterpieces, a trip to L’Illa de la Discordia is an absolute must. The famous street includes the exceptional Casa Batllo – a stunning example of architecture that includes absolutely no straight edges. The building is open to the general public, and the roof offers panoramic views across the city. Also in the area is the Hospital de Sant Pau – an incredibly eccentric example of Gaudi’s work which also allows visitors to take in the splendid views available from the roof. Another of the area’s charming features is the sense of community and togetherness; something that is best experienced by booking accommodation in Camp de L’arpa via 9föats.com. Live as the locals do – side-by-side with them in their own communities.
