The historic city of Bath has its roots in ancient Rome, but much of its incredible architecture is Georgian. Located around 100 miles from London, this picture-postcard city is replete with incredible examples of architecture, but it is most famous for its hot springs and Roman baths. The beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds is only a few miles down the road, but those looking for the trappings of modern city life are also well catered for. Whatever your reason for visiting this ancient city, a holiday apartment in Bath will give you a very different perspective to life in the city than local hotels will.
Holiday Apartments in Bath Allow You to Live in Sheer Luxury
Perhaps the most popular attractions in Bath are the Roman Baths and the Abbey. Whilst the baths were first built by the occupying Romans 2,000 years ago, they lay hidden for centuries until they were rediscovered in the 19th century. The baths are supplied by England’s only hot-water springs, and to take a bath in the mineral-rich waters is said to have therapeutic effects. The other major attraction in the city is Bath Abbey. Officially the last Gothic Church to be built in England, the Abbey casts an imposing presence over the nearby Roman Baths. Visitors can climb to the top of the Abbey’s tower, where they can enjoy panoramic views of this very pretty English city. Such beauty and history are best experienced close up, and hiding away in a hotel room simply doesn’t do the area justice. However, a holiday apartment in Bathwick in will provide you with a level of luxury that befits the surrounding magnificence.
