Although the world knows this stunning event as the Oktoberfest, the locals refer to it as ‘die Wiesn’ – the colloquial name for fairgrounds in German. Such is the broad appeal of this incredible festival, other cities across the world hold simultaneous Oktoberfest celebrations in their own way. A nice room in a good location for me in Munich. I needed access to the U6 line, which was a few minutes' walk away. The house is kept clean, if a little cluttered. The kitchen had most of what I needed, although I wasn't sure of the waste disposal process!
Bryn reviewed Gut schlafen Nähe Theresienwiese ! in Theresienwiese
Getting hold of the key was made easy, particularly important when I arrived in the middle of the night (due to flight issues).
Perhaps it is the way Munich is, but for a private room, this did seem a little pricey. -
