Mark E. Peterson is an accomplished bassist, composer and producer of music for documentary, TV and film. Working alongside guitarist Vernon Reid (founder of the rock group Living Colour), he has contributed to numerous soundtracks, including “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners - The Story of Angela Davis.” (2014 NAACP Image Award recipient). Their music is also featured on the TV show, “Politically Biased,” produced by comedian Chris Rock for FX television. He has appeared worldwide with a Who’s Who of jazz and pop vocalists and instrumentalists. This list includes: Joan Baez, Clark Terry, Ben E. King, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Lyle Lovett, Maxime LeForrestier, Shakira and Cassandra Wilson (he played bass on her Grammy Award winning CD, “New Moon Daughter”).
