About Danni
I love life more than most and try to live it with as much variety & zing as possible. I'm a freelance copywriter/art director in advertising and publishing (sometimes I work from home and sometimes I work at my clients offices). I am also a professional sailor & nomad. I dabble in TV production (documentaries). I've worked in many industries from being a DJ, to teaching, to financial planning. I get board easily. I am vegetarian (& have a food: gluten allergy), don't smoke. I am a Raynor Massage Specialist. It is a deep tissue massage and I am working on a separate profile for that on Air Bnb. It is a specialised system of bodywork blended from eastern influences such as: Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi, Thai massage, Reflexology, Eastern Chiropractic work, Acupressure, Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Massage, Reike & Yoga breath work. My travels were inspired by reading National Geographic magazine as a child. I took a 3 year sabbatical to hitch hike across Africa, then I learned to sail boats and ended up delivering yachts all over (almost circumnavigated; pirates got in my way) Africa & Europe...came home...missed the sea so then sailed down the Caribbean chain....I've lived with all kinds of people in all kinds of conditions and cultures... I am addicted to travel (been to around 50 countries), sailing, sports & adventure! I am a Canadian adventuress. I've finally made it to where the grass really is greener, the mountains arch their backs into a clean, golden sky, the lions purr with a purpose, and impetuous rivers rush to the most beautiful oceans. I've been stalked by a lemur, slept on a beach under a starry sky and awoken to a village, three snakes and the ocean greeting me in the morning. I've also wrestled a Zebu, had dinner with a family of Dassies, had a stand off with a village chief and traversed half a country in a pirogue (a long, narrow canoe). As if this wasn't enough, I've also had to chase a spitting cobra from my computer, peel leeches off myself after hiking through a pristine rain forest, driven through rivers and even scared crocodiles out of the hot spring so I could go for a swim! I’ve assisted with ceasarian sections, been the clean up crew at an accident site & transported dead bodies from one Mozambiquan town to another. I’ve hiked in the Drakensburg, slept in caves, tracked 100 wild elephants on foot, sailed through a hurricane, rode horseback through God help me pass, swam with dolphins, and drove a steam train. I've been on archaeological digs digging up my ancestors in Croatia. What’s next? Needless to say, I have some really good stories to tell. When your life flashes before your eyes.. what will you see? I am frustrated that I now live in a country where gardening, sailing, caving, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, para-sailing, windsurfing and festival season all start at the same time!!!! Let me know ahead of time if you want to plan an adventure! I am well versed at finding them and look forward to hosting you!

die Unterkunft war sehr eigenwillig eingerichtet, Sauberkeit war nicht gerade groß geschrieben und für Gäste mit mehreren Gepäckstücken ist das Zimmer nicht geeignet, da viele steile Treppen

Superb Location and really beautiful. Rent a bike if your staying for a week, its the best way to get around the city, one of the most bicycle friendly city I've cycled in so far. Danni has gone out of her way to make the room feel 'out of Africa' a really great room to relax in after a day of sightseeing and cycling. You can also head down and chill out in the lounge with Danni for a good chat. Learnt loads.

Danni was super generous and helpful in regards to getting around Toronto and knowing where to get the best value for money regarding restaurants, food and transport. This was our first time using 9Flats and what a great experience. We got to hang out with the locals and get an insiders view of this beautiful and super diverse City, Toronto
