Cara was such a great host, we were very happy with our decision to stay with her. Before the trip she quickly responded to all of our questions. During our stay she provided us with great advice and helped us in any situation. Due to our spontanous visit we had to shift rooms (what we arranged prior to the booking) which worked
out fine. The entire apartment is super organised, very clean and provides you with everything you need: A/C, fridge and a washing
machine. If you like to cook your own food - no problem. Check the pictures to see for yourself (no fakes, the apartment really looks that awesome ;-)). Especially the bathroom was clean and sanitary. There is nothing negative we can think of.
5 Stars! Thanks again! -

The entire apartment is super organised and very clean, our room was very cosy. It pretty much has everything you need including A/C, a huge and comfortable bed, tv+dvd player and extra space to store your stuff. Especially the location of this apartment is terrific, it is exactly at Kensington Market, the home of the coolest stores. Bars, restaurants and organic food grocery stores are all over the place. It just has an unique vibe. We are very happy that we decided to stay with Cara and would do it again any time.

I stayed in "Room 2", taking the trade-off of a bit more spaciousness
for bit less privacy and not getting my own closet. The over-the-door
hooks and the space Cara cleared space in front of the books on the
shelf for my things worked just fine for me, but might be more
challenging for someone who travels with lots of stuff that they want to unpack. Despite Cara's concern about disturb my sleep by
coming through to the room on her way to hers, in the end, our
schedules worked out and it wasn't a bother at all. The bed was
unexpectedly comfortable and it was also super-convenient to have
access to the desk to get some work done.We ended up extending our stay and booking the whole apartment. We
highly recommend renting either one of Cara's rooms or the whole
apartment, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in Toronto! -

My sister and I were so happy staying with Cara that we extended our
stay, this time booking the whole apartment so we could spend some
quality time just the two of us. I can't say enough about the
location or the apartment. We lucked out and visited during Pedestrian
Sunday (monthly) so we got to spend a day taking in street performers and sidewalk vendors, coming home to rest. On the other days, it was delightful to have so many shops and cafes right outside (with some space from them, too) - it's a fun place to explore, whether you're a foodie or into art or vintage clothing. Cara's building is new and fresh, the apartment bright, clean, and homey. The bench in the private courtyard out front was the perfect place to sit and sip our morning "Ideal" coffee. We appreciated using the kitchen to store leftovers. Highly recommended place for anyone wanting a real feel for Kensington Market living- we will definitely stay here again next time we're in Toronto. -

Cara's location (the heart of Kensington Market) couldn't be better - she's not exaggerating when she calls the neighbourhood the best in Toronto. We really liked the apartment; the kitchen was bright and homey, with a table and chairs on one side of the room, and on the other, a colourful painting and floor-level seating (including a sweet bean-bag chair) excellent for lounging about.
My sister stayed in "Room 1" and was very pleased there. She loved
the beautifully hand-crafted wood bedframe and noted that the drawer full of possibly-forgotten toiletries was a nice touch. The trees and
greenery through the bedroom window was a pleasant surprise. We ended up extending our stay and booking the whole apartment. We
highly recommend renting either one of Cara's rooms or the whole
apartment, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in Toronto!

My sister and I booked both Kensington Market rooms in July 2013. We
found our way to her apartment through the courtyard and Cara was
there to welcome us. We felt right at home immediately.Cara was a lovely host, making sure we had everything we needed and
answering all our questions. We got lots of great tips on the best
places to go for everything (tacos, pizza, crepes, salads, smoothies,
vegetarian chinese, home-made vegan ice cream, mini-donuts, organic
produce, etc). We were never disappointed in her recommendations.Cara's location (right in the heart of Kensington Market) couldn't be
better - certainly the best in Torotno! We really liked the apartment itself. The kitchen was bright and homey, with a table and
chairs on one side of the room, and on the other, a colourful painting
and floor-level seating (including a super-sized bean-bag chair) more
suitable for lounging about. -
