Like it was told by the description the house is located in a safe and quiet part of Vancouver, close to a lot of bus lines to the centre and the airport and also close to some shops and restaurants.
I spent 5 weeks and the house/ my room came up with my expectations. The house isn't a palace but you have everything you need, a washing machine and a dryer, TV and DVD in each room, fast Wifi included (used it for Skype and it was always perfect), a quiet and safe place and a perfect host. If you miss anything, just ask Lamar. He will do his best to help you!If I will be back in Vancouver one day and Lamar is still living there, I would stay at this place again!

I stayed 5 weeks at this place and it was perfect for my stay in Vancouver, the room was clean and nice. Everything was there what i needed. It is pretty close to downtown, by bus and subway about 25 min. I really can recommend this place.

Es ist alles sehr sauber gehalten und gut durchorganisiert, es gibt keine Mängel, man kann kochen, waschen, trocknen (Wäsche, in Vancouver bei dem Regen sehr gut). Es gibt einen Fernseher in jedem Zimmer, da kann man sich die volle Ladung nordamerikanischen Medienprogramms verpassen, oder eben Nachrichten schauen.
Ziemlich überzeugend war die Lage, es ist ausgesprochen ruhig, es gibt nette Nachbarn und es ist super sicher. Die Gegend kann als wohlhabend beschrieben werden im Vancouvrishen Vergleich.
Es gibt 4 Buslinien in 5minütiger Laufnähe, mit denen man sehr zielgerichtet ins Zentrum kann.
Fazit: da geh ich wieder hin. -

Lamars place is pretty nice. The garden is awesome really cool to have the possibility to directly sit outside in the sun. Quite tricky to cook, but very clean.

Mit den Bus war man in ca. 20 Minuten im Zentrum von Vancouver. Die Unterkunft war in einer sehr ruhigen Lage was sehr angenehm war. Die Preis-Leistung hat gestimmt.

Great apartment with a luxury feel and truly spectacular views in the heart of Downtown. Skytrain, endless shopping opportunities right on Robson and the seafront are all within walking distance. Lamar is friendly, open minded, helpful and always willing to learn something new about different countries, cultures, people and so on.
I stayed for 5 weeks and spent the first week with a friend. We booked the middle-sized room and were pretty lucky when we arrived and Lamar just upgraded us to the biggest room, still paying for the midlle one, so that we can feel more comfortable.
During my time I shared the basement with a French guest who was staying for some month already. We and Lamar had some Pizza, Sushi and Pasta, went to a greek restaurant and had coffee in the garden when ever the weather was good enough.
Lamar is always interested in his guests, wants to hear about their travelling and their "normal" lifes. He is a traveler as well, and spent some years in Europe for example.
If you need help, just ask for it. He lent me a hair dryer for 5 weeks, offered to take me to the grocery with his car and took me to the sky train station when I left. -

Abgesehen vom Organisationstalent hat ich die Hilfsbereitschaft fast erdrückt, das wareinmalig! Es gibt Mobiltelefone und Fahrräder zum leihen, manchmal gibt es einen gemeinsame trip im Truck zum Einkaufen um die Ecke. Ich wurde oft morgens zum Kaffeetrinken eingeladen, die Freundlichkeit des Empfangs hat meine Erwartungen weit übertroffen!

It was a great time in Canada and Lamar is a really friendly.
He is an exceedingly hospitable and obliging person. He has stood always with words and deeds aside. One has felt in good hands. -
