Manuela's beautiful apartment on the Isola della Giudecca is a genuine haven from the tourist crowds of Venice. We are a family of four and the apartment fulfilled our needs perfectly. It is in a very safe area and is easily located from the nearby Vaporetto stop. The building is set amongst a quiet, lush working garden with cats dozing on tops of walls and church bells tolling in the distance. The interior is very clean and feels very luxurious and has a sunny enclosed balcony facing the garden. There are plenty of shops nearby and fabulous places where you can relax and enjoy an afternoon aperitif overlooking the Giudecca Canal towards Piazza San Marco. Highly recommended!

Aur Giudecca wohnen ist das Beste, was man machen kann, wenn man im August Venedig besucht: es ist ruhig, man findet einen Platz in der Bar direkt vor der Haustür mit einem phantastischen Blick auf Venedig in der Abendsonne. Die Verbindung zum Lido ist sehr gut, wenn man einen Strandtag einlegen will. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft, der kleine Balkon mit Blick in die Gärten wird in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnt, war aber eine nette Überraschung.

The appartment is perfectly located. A vaporetto station is nearby to visit the touristic sites, same as a supermarket. The interior decoration in venetian style is wonderful and let us feel just like being at home. We had a great time at Manuela's place and hope to come back again another time :-)

Schöne Wohnung - man merkt, dass hier auch die Gastgeber selbst gerne wohnen würden. Oase der Ruhe nach Ausflügen in das völlig überlaufene Venedig.

Auf Giudecca zu wohnen ist viel besser, als in der Stadt Venedig selbst. Es ist ruhiger, die Bootsverbindungen sind hervorragend, auch in der Nacht. Die Insel ist ruhig und wir waren fast die einzigen Touristen dort, selbst in der Zeit des Karnevals. Es gibt genügend Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen. Das Apartement selbst ist sehr geräumig, man kann kochen und sogar Wäsche waschen, falls das nötig sein sollte. Die Antiquitäten in der Wohnung lassen einen fühlen, dass man selbst in der Nacht von Europäischer Geschichte umgeben ist. Leider ist es in der Saison für unser Budget ein wenig teuer, aber natürlich ist ein Besuch in Venedig immer ein Luxus.

Very well furnished, spacious accomodation in a very quiet location. Leaving the accomodation and walking on to the Fondamenta every morning brought huge smile to my face. Fantastic!

We have been to Manuela's place with our three daughters end of october. To make a long story short: We found the apartment extremely pleasant. It was clean, new, well equipped, etc. Even the beds were fantastic, especially the matrices. Thank you Manuela and go ahead with this standard.

The appartment is very spacious and clean with lots of light coming in. 2nd level in a house with a very open architecture from the 1930, lovely set in a backgarden behind the canalfront with pomegranate and olive trees. Very quiet and local on the beautiful Giudecca Island that has the best view on Venice anyway.
We loved it and absolutely recommend it!

Very helpful and considerate host. We had dietary needs and our host found restuarants that could accommodate these. She also met us and took us to the apartment.

Manuela was very helpful by answering our questions before our arrival. Unfortunately we could not meet personally as she had to work the day we arrived. Her friend Giovanna which we met instead, was very friendly. She accompanied us to the appartment and gave us a a good introduction to Venice. We hope to come back and to see you / Giovanna again :-)

Flexibler geht's nicht: Die Erst-Reservierung (andere Wohnung) platzte am Vorabend unserer Abreise! Buchung dieser Wohnung dann kurz vor Mitternacht, mit der Bitte, uns per sms zu benachrichtigen, ob es klappt. Die sms mit der Zusage traf am anderen Morgen um 8 Uhr ein - besser geht es nicht. Und Manuela holte uns dann von der Vaporetto-Station ab. Klasse!

Unsere Gastgeberin hat uns persönlich am Bahnhof emfangen und zum Apartement geleitet. Sie hat sich selbst davon überzeugt, was wir ggf. brauchen und mit uns eingekauft. Sie hat Grundnahrungsmittel, wie Öl, Nudeln, Kaffee, Marmelade usw. für uns bezahlt. Auch während unseres Aufenthalts hat sie sich sehr zuvorkommend und gleichzeitig diskret um uns gekümmert. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut betreut.

Our host picked us up at the train station in Venice. Handing over of the keys and the instruction of how to get to the flat was really good. No problems at all.
