My only issue was being asked for a $500 cash deposit on arrival. While I understand the need for this, it would have better to have been asked for at booking and entered against a credit card. Net result was we incurred charges in making a cash withdrawal and then changing the dollars bach to GB Pounds when the deposit was returned.

Yes, we have a good time staying at Royal Palm Mansion, the place is clean and very accessable, especially with the new circle line just in operation.
The place is quite and cosy.

The room is large with private bathroom, also big desk and wardrobe. Their maid did the laundry for me and cleaned up my room while I stayed. The location is convenient place as bus stop is very near and both Newton & Botanic garden MRT station are 5 min by bus.
