Alper and Dilek are warm and generous hosts. I enjoyed private time as well as cooking, going out and dancing tango together with them. The apartment is lovely, with a large and comfortable living room and a little window-framed alcove in the kitchen, the perfect space for easing into another busy and bustling day. There is no double bed but since I was a single person, that was no problem for me.
The flat is located some 5 min walk from the New gate - Yeni Kapı - in the South-East of the old city centre. The neighbourhood is very safe and combines modern urban life with the charms of a Turkish mediterranean city - all the sounds and sensations included. There are supermarkets, bakeries, little eating places and the main shopping street Atatürk Cd. all around. The beautiful park just outside the old town and the rocky seafront are only a short walk.
Far from the touristy spots of Konyaaltı Beach, this home offers a lovely and inexpensive retreat - and a cat ;) We'll meet again!
