Sobre Larry

I was raised in New York City, went to university and ballet school there, and lived and worked there till 2001. I moved to Vienna shortly after the 11 September 2001 attacks as my apartment was too close to the World Trade Center and I had to leave because of the smoke. I quickly got a job offer to be a staff reporter – foreign correspondent for arts and culture – and moved to Vienna within a few weeks I love Vienna, and it is the perfect place for me at this point in my life. I travel often throughout Central Europe for my work, but I try to find time to take a vacation (usually with my best friend, who is like the brother I never had) once a year. I’ve had two great vacations made possible through 9flats to date: two weeks in Napoli (2013), and a week in Zürich (2015). No big surprise: my passions are music (from opera to jazz to classic and indie rock), dance (ballet and modern), theater, food, wine, and finding a really great cocktail bar that stays open very late! I’m also a film fanatic and have a huge collection of films from around the world going back to the silent film era. And my cat! I couldn’t live without him!
