Ubicación inmejorable en ciudad vieja aunque calle bastante ruidosa y poco limpia

The flat was in a lively neighbourhood, a bar next to the door with lots of laughing people, you always can listen to eight or ten Catalan people talking loudly about the latest gossip from 9 am to 11pm. It was fantastic that you can walk everywhere you want, everything is near by and you feel save with a big police station at the end of the street. Metro and bus are about 3 minutes the Ramblas about 5 minutes on foot. Everything you need is in the flat, hairdryer, towels, watercooker, espresso machine, even umbrellas are there. The communication between the bedroom and the shower/toilet is very easy, because the wall isn´t really up to the roof, so you can hear your partner all the time. The bed is long enough but a little bit old you can feel the metal sometimes. The safe is really good, so you know, your papers and money is well locked. We had an interesting and nice time in the flat, but we think you must know each other very well if you want to stay longer.

We spent 4 days in June in Javier's apartment. It is perfect for a couple with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and lounge & kitchen downstairs. Javier was a great host, keeping in touch by email before arrival and then meeting us in the morning on our arrival. The cleaner was just finishing when we came. Pantry was stocked with coffee, tea, sugar etc and there was even butter in the fridge that we used for our sandwiches. Microwave and stove we didn't use, plenty of cafes and restaurants around and only 5 min walk to Lidl supermarket. The same distance from Paral-lel Metro station, very convenient and only 20 min taxi ride from airport and about the same from cruise port. Air-conditioning downstairs and upstairs in the bedroom, very convenient on hot days! Very good internet connection.

Es gab alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in Barcelona braucht. Die Lage war sehr zentral Nahe einer Metro-Station, aber auch zu Fuß konnte man viele Geschäfte, Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen.

see previous description, to which I would add that directly across the street is a nice little cafe, for morning coffee, and good bakeries nearby.

Altogether the apartment was very nice, our only real complaint was that the neighborhood is pretty noisy at all hours of the night- & the sounds are amplified by the stone architecture and streets. otherwise, the place was well-equipted with various conveniences, and very nearby the Parallel metro stop, and easy walking to the inner city and harbor.

We had an excellent time in Barcelona, the flat was perfect for us & in an ideal location, with easy access to public transports & within walking distance to many places. Javier has been really nice & helpful, we will definitely recommend this place to our friends & family & we hope to come back soon.
