I was a market trader selling underwear at various locations in London for 25 years. I decided that I was too old to work so hard and with the competition from Primark etc, it was becoming hard to earn a living. I decided to give up work, because I wanted to spend time with my mother. The villa is named after her. She suffers from a degenerative illness, so I wanted to have quality time with her, while we could still do things. We had a great time in Cyprus getting the house together and was there for almost 7 weeks. I have precious memories of this time, which I hold very dear to me. At home in London, she lives next door to me and my partner Geoff, so we are very lucky!
