Incredibly clean! It was nice to have a bathroom just for ourselves and while the room was small for two, it wasn`t a problem as there are so many cafes and bars in the area, we never got home before 12 midnight anyway. It is just a ten minute walk from the main bus and train stations - go through the tunnel, NOT over the hill- and you can get one of the Paris-style bikes for 1.70 euro on the promenade in the middle to the main street at the end of the alley. You can ride to the beach in just 30 minutes. It rained pretty much for the whole week we were there in July but Carmen always offered us a weather report and there was plenty to do in the town and trips to nearby, lovely villages.

Carmen is a beauty, a million times prettier than in her photo! Even though she speaks no English and us almost no Spanish, she looked after us, making sure we had breakfast every day, even when we told her not to worry as we wanted to sleep in. I really wish I knew more Spanish so I could talk to her. It was like having an aunt in Spain tha we had never met.
