Raglan has a distinct laid-back atmosphere and a diverse range of eateries to suit all tastes. The main street is lined with interesting shops selling a variety of bohemian arts and crafts. We are 2 hours south of Auckland and 40 minutes west of Hamilton, and are just a few kilometres from Raglan township on New Zealand's west coast.
Relax in our varied up-cycled to modern lodgings, with options to suit all budgets. All caboose guests share communal restrooms, and beds are made up with high-quality linen.
Best known for long peeling left-hand point breaks, Raglan also offers ideal conditions for beginners and novice surfers. Solscape Eco Retreat offers board and wet suit hire.
Raglan is a premier kiteboarding destination in New Zealand, too. Because of Raglan's natural land formations, kiteboarding is possible in almost any wind direction.
