Montezuma, Costa Rica
|
Peace and love style seaside village hidden in the south of the Nicoya peninsula.
Montezuma is a small village by the sea in a splendid tropical atmosphere where tranquility reigns. Of course, reaching it is a real mission (especially during the rainy season). But you won't be disappointed by the little detour during your trip to Costa Rica.
From the natural point of view: beach, magnificent seabeds, rivers, exceptional fauna and flora. Get ready to get woken up by the screams of howling monkeys in the early morning and receive visits of mysterious animals of any kind on the terrace of your hotel!
From the activity point of view: if you have an explorer's soul, go for a walk west of the city, you will discover a beach of white sand still unexplored. A trip to the Montezuma waterfall will allow you to have a moment of coolness. If you like the ocean you will have the choice between: baths, snorkeling, fishing, visiting the islands and horse riding.

Casado
The Casado (literally married man), consumed mainly for lunch as it is a single dish, consists of boiled rice accompanied by red or black beans flavored with onion, garlic, celery, pepper and coriander, meat (beef, pork, chicken or fish) and raw or steamed vegetables. They can also be added as an accompaniment to fried plantains, cheese, eggs or corn tortillas.

Phnom Penh
|
Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, guardian of a story as grand as it is bloody, a strange but beautiful city, always wrapped in that thin veil of Asian delirium that characterizes all the great oriental centers. Traffic, asphyxiating heat, tuc-tuc darting to the right and to the left, fumes and vapors from all sides, yes, you are right in Phnom Penh, the obligatory passage point of your journey in Cambodia. And yet this chaotic metropolis is certainly worth a visit, if only for the treasures of a noble past and for its current importance in a broader geo-political context such as that of south-east Asia. And then there are the museums, the temples, the markets, the memorials, the long-Mekong and the sumptuous colonial buildings. Here, everything is in transformation and contributes to the vitality and development of an increasingly lively city.

Fish Amok
Probably the most popular Cambodian dish. This dish is composed of a rich and creamy curry sauce made with a skilful blend of ginger, lemongrass, turmeric and coconut milk. When cooked properly, the fish is silky smooth, almost melting in the mouth with each bite. This dish is usually served wrapped in a banana leaf and is not too spicy. Head to the Frizz Restaurant, 67 Oknha Chhun St. (240), Phnom Penh, Cambodia

St. Petersburg, Russia
|
Saint Petersburg lies in the northwest of Russia and is certainly one of the most fascinating cities in the world.
More than 2,300 palaces, castles and other magnificent buildings are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Only Venice can score with even more history. Many myths entwine around the origin of Saint Petersburg and it is said that Tsar Peter the Great created the “window to Europe” from the swamplands of the Neva. Other sources prove that already in the 10th century the first settlers lived in the region and laid the foundation stone for one of the greatest cities in the world. Don't miss: the famous Hermitage and the adjacent Winter Palace, with a total area of more than 100,000m², the imposing cathedral of the Church of the Resurrection with its breathtaking vaulted ceiling was built around 1900 according to the Moscow model. Also worth a visit are the Admiralty building and the Isaaks Cathedral on the Neva.

Osaka
|
The third largest city in the country in terms of population and historic trade capital, Osaka is one of the most important and vital metropolitan areas in Japan, often overlooked by tourists who prefer to move towards more attractive destinations such as Tokyo or Kyoto.
Going to Osaka knowing what this great metropolis has to offer means being spoiled for choice among a multitude of attractions and places to visit. Starting from the famous “Osaka-jo” castle, rebuilt after the bombing of the Second World War, surrounded by the immense park that shows all its splendor especially in spring during the flowering, to reach the ancient temples like the Shitenno-ji complex with its long history over a millennium. The central and busiest neighborhoods, such as Namba and the Dotonbori street with its huge illuminated signs, offer tourists all kinds of entertainment. Among the many places of interest, the Aquarium Kaiyukan, one of the largest indoor aquarium cities in the world, the huge Universal Studios entertainment park, the Umeda Sky Building and the Spa World water park stand out.

Okonomiyaki
In its most classic form the okonomiyaki is a grilled egg omelette that contains seafood, cheese, meat or even udon, the typical Japanese smooth big spaghetti. On the plate, the final mixture is beautifully compact, embellished with a generous brush of sweet and sour sauce and mayonnaise and garnished with katsuobushi and aonori, minced Japanese seaweed.
We had the best one at Okonomiyaki Chitose, 1-11-10 Taishi, Nishinari-ku, Osaka 557-0002, Osaka Prefecture
