Salvador de Bahia
|
View of Brazilwood
Salvador da Bahía, or more simply Bahía as it is called by its inhabitants. An ancient, colonial city, once the first capital of Brazil and always the heart of Afro-Brazilian culture.
Here Africa is an active, visible presence. With the ancient ritual dances of Angola that today revive in the Capoeira shows, and the Yoruba songs of West Africa that still echo, among hypnotic sounds of drums, in the suggestive Candomblé ceremonies.
For a traveler it is a beautiful city, tropical and full of atmosphere, and after Rio it is undoubtedly the most interesting city to visit in Brazil.
The real attraction of Salvador de Bahia is its beautiful beaches, perfect for enjoying well-deserved relaxation: praia do Forte, Conde, Baixio or Imbassaì.

Toronto
|
City view from the forest
Toronto is a fascinating mix of urban architecture and traditional neighbourhood. The CN Tower dominates the skyline and is one of the city’s most recognisable buildings. It’s the tallest free standing structure in the Western hemisphere and visitors can experience Edge Walk, a hands free walk around the top of the tower supported by a harness. An activity that’s not for everyone, but the views are spectacular. For those who are looking for something a little more low-key, you can take a ferry on Lake Ontario to Toronto Island. Don't miss the Toronto’s famed Chinatown, and catch all the action. There you will find Dragon City Mall, full of Chinese fashion shops and an abundance of excellent Chinese restaurants.
