I am a native New Yorker. I have traveled throughout the country and world. I have always enjoyed the many cultures, landmark attractions, and of course meeting new people. As your host, I will do all I can to make your stay welcoming, comfortable and a most memorable experience.

The apartment was clean and it's as shown in the pictures (even better). It's pretty well situated too, near from subway stations. I would recommend it.

The appartment is situated in a nice old building with a beautiful parquet floor. It looked exactly as shown in the pictures. The appartment has a good atmosphere and you have complete privacy. We felt very much at home. I was amazed how clean the appartment was. Beds were comfortable. The place is really good value for money.

Logement propre, bien situé pour se déplacer en métro. Du côté des chambres rue bruyante jusque tard dans la nuit.

Clean appartement, enough space for 4 persons, 5mins to the subway and shops just around the corner! A good place to stay while you are in NYC.

Lively neighborhood with brownstone houses. Busstop in the street. 10 minutes footwalk to subway and supermarket. The house could well have some new doors, but we did not feel unsafe at any time.

Wohnung im ersten Stock eines typischen Altbaus mit ein paar kleinen altbaubedingten Mängeln. Die Wohnung ist sauber und für eine Familie ohne ganz große Ansprüche geräumig genug. Sehr empfehlenswertes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis z.B. für Familien, denn die Wohnung ist für New Yorker Verhältnisse durchaus bezahlbar. Das Viertel ist einfach, aber spürbar im Aufwind. Die Verbindung nach JFK und nach Manhattan sehr gut.

Appartement très agréable et bien situé dans Brooklin, le métro est à 5 minutes à pied et les New yorkais sont très accueillant et vous renseigneront rapidement, impossible de se perdre.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll in Schuss gehalten. Das Haus liegt in einem Wohngebiet mit kleinen brownstone Häusern, an jeder Straßenecke ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen.
Der Bus fährt direkt vor der Haustüre ab, der local train C in 5 Minuten Laufentfernung, bis zum express train A etwa 8 Minuten zu Fuß. -

We stayed 8 days in Sheilas apartment and it was absolutely perfect, just as she described it.
It was very comfortable and clean. A great place to relax after a busy day in this great city.
The location is nearly perferct. The next subway station is just a 5 minute walk away and also some cafes and stores are not far.
I can definitely recommend Sheila's apartment! -

Logement très agréable avec un bon lit. La cuisine était fonctionnelle et l'espace était suffisant. Il manquait juste une éponge et un torchon. L'emplacement est très pratique car proche des lignes A et C du métro qui rejoignent directement Manhattan. Il y a énormément de magasins dans la zone.

The place is just exactly what you need when traveling with your family. Very close to the subway, in lines A and C working 24 hours, to go to times square, and the Porth Autorithy bus terminal in 20 minutes. The host provides clean sheets and towels. Also there are a lot of deli stores we you can buy food or whatever you need during your trip to NY also, 24 hours. the neighborhood was safe and never experienced any kind of problems.
And the hospitality of Sheila makes the place even better!

The owner is an absolute sweethart and was always there for us when we needed help from her. She made us feel very welcome. She even bought us breakfast on our first morning!!! She was also willing to give us lots of tips about nice restaurants and things to see in the neighbourhood, which is always helpfull.

We stayed seven nights of our famliy holidays, could reach our host easily. Late arrival was no problem. Snacks and drinks were waiting for us. Good introduction, easy to understand for foreigners like us. We had a good time.

L'accueil de Sheila est chaleureux, elle a été à nos petits soins tout au long du sejour. Nous avons appreciés de discuter avec Sheila, elle nous a donné quelques conseils de visite.
On sait ou revenir pour notre prochain voyage à NY si l'occasion se présente. -

Sheila is a very polite and kind person and it was a pleasure meeting her. At arrival we could find some beverages and snacks in the fridge and she even had some good advice for us.

Sheila is a great host. On our arrival day she awaited us, and showed us her place. She explained us everything we need to know about her place and the neighborhood and gave us some recommendations were we can have something to eat. She is a very positive person, always kind and patient. She even provided some snacks and water when we arrived!

Sheila is an awesome host. She took the time show everything about the place and had some food and water allready there for us. This was very nice because our arrival was late in the evening and we had a long flight. The neighborhood is also nice and People are friendly. If you want to visit New York but can't afford a Hotel, it's the best choice!

Sheila nous attendait comme prévu à l'heure que nous lui avions indiquée. Elle nous a fait un excellent accueil. Surprise à l'arrivée: des friandises et une bouteille de cidre nous tendaient la main. Le réfrigérateur était également garni de quelques victuailles. Connaissant notre goût partagé pour le jazz, Sheila nous a indiqué quelques bonnes adresses. Sheila est un hôte vraiment sympathique à recommander.

Sheila is a great host! she explained to us all we needed to have a good trip. When we arrived, there were some snacks in the kitchen that help us a lot, because we were tired of the long way from Mexico. She was always there to respond our questions and there is no porblem for arriving late to the appartament. I would definetly come back to Sheila's house in brooklyn and she will be welcome to our home whenever she wants to come. Thank you very much.
