Born in London and raised in Germany, Sweden and Spain, I have travelled world wide but always happy to come home, my home in Madrid. I have lived in this wonderful city for nearly 40 years now and when I think I know the city inside out, I always find a street, a garden, a fountain that I had never seen before. Being a very keen traveler myself, I have stayed at many apartments and even Villas and have tried to adapt my home to what I like to find when I go and stay at someone’s else property: the instant feel of home, care taken in preparing the property for each new client (that is why we always leave a day between a clients departure, and a new clients arrival) , information of where to go and what to do along with guide books, a nice stocked library if you feel lazy one day and don’t want to go out sightseeing, a nice stack of DVD´s if you are even too lazy to read! Being also a very keen eater, I will of course provide you with a long list of the best places to eat however if you prefer staying at home and preparing a nice meal, I also have a very nice stock of spices (including some curries I bought in the Maldives) and some nice cook-books if you need inspiration and will of course leave you a list of the best shops and where to buy what. If you are lazy to walk, you have a Fish monger, a meat shop, a fruit shop, a small local supermarket and even a flower shop right across the road! Loving the Prado Museum, the Thyssen Bornemissa or smaller museums spread out all over Madrid, I will also let you know what is on and where so that you can effortless, make the most of your holidays and will look forward to welcoming you to Madrid, my home!
