Hi ! We are a young French-German-Spanish and Parisian family (José, 35, Carmen, 34, and Garance one year old) and we discovered this way of travelling in December 2011 for a trip to NYC and Florida. We really enjoyed this way to travel : it's the best way to meet interesting people, discover and share the way they live, as well as their favorite addresses in town. Hotels are so impersonal and boring… ! We met great people during this trip. We so much enjoyed this way of travelling that we decided to move from our flat in Paris in 2012, in order to be able to offer the same opportunity to tourists and our guests ! We moved in February in a unique flat, and unique is not too much ! Located in the vivid and authentic area of Pigalle, the flat is on the 6th and last floor. From here and especially from your bedroom you will have a view all over Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur. From the living-room and kitchen, the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Panthéon and Centre Pompidou will be at your feet… The flat is a typical « Haussmanian » one with wooden floor (« pointe de Hongrie »), ceilings decorated with mouldings. Your bedroom is thought as an independent flat: 35 m² (400 square feet) within our 120m² (1400 square feet) and 4 bedrooms appartment. The library and the deco of your bedroom are linked to the history of the place: art books and photos, paintings and drawings. The sofa converts into a comfortable king size bed designed by Ora Ïto. You have your own private bathroom, and a huge Led TV 50''. We : we love travelling, hiking (most of the time in Corsica), NYC, Paris, Venice, Naples, good wine, good cheese, good food, opera, photography, etc… Hope to meet you soon ! Carmen & José

Diana 5.0 20/10/2013Die Gästezimmer ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet mit einem traumhaften Blick auf die Sacre Coeur. Die Wohnung ist optimal gelegen, mitten im Künstlerviertel von Paris. Man hat einen wunderschönen Blick über die Stadt, bei Tag uns bei Nacht. Traumhaft schön.

For whom its not a problem to use a toilet or a shower which are not more than 1 m2 each – for us definitively not – finds in this nice, clean, tastefully designed and centrally located flat with a wonderful basis for an pleasant stay in Paris.

I spent a weekend with my mom in Paris, and the best choice we made was to stay at Carmen and José's place. It is an apartment with a great atmosphere, an interesting artistic background and especially with a beautiful view on Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel Tower. Also the location is perfect, since you can have nice walks to the center of the city. A supermarket and a bakery is right next to the house. My bakery recommendation: Le Grenier a Pain in Rue des Abesses has the best baguette in this area.

A charming apartment located near Montmartre, very nice and spacious. The guest room has a view of the Sacré Coeur, a wonderful site to wake up to! Through the many windows you can discover an overwhelming view, which includes the Eiffel tower, the Sacré Coeur, les Invalides, the Pompidou museum and the Opéra Garnier. The numerous windows also render the apartment very bright. The kitchen, living room and dining room are fully accessible. There’s also a private bathroom and shower located right outside the room. The guidebooks and the hammock are a great addition - whether you are in an adventurous mood or just want to relax.
A smartphone with Internet and two Velib’ cards (bike rental passes) are available for the guests. Additionally, José and Carmen leave their own personal guide for their guests, which is very complete and a very nice touch.
Overall, this apartment has made it to my own personal favorites list.

Overwhelming view on Montmartre with Sacré-Coeur, Tour d' Eiffel, Les Invalides and so on! Very stylish and tidy apartment with separate shower and toilet for the guests! Big room with huge TV and cosy seats! Fast and easy access to the metro station "pigalle". Perfect starting point for a city trip to Paris! Highly recommendable!

Carmen, Jose und die ihre kleine Tochter sind sehr herzliche und offene Gastgeber. Ich habe mich sofort wohl gefühlt. Ich bekam sehr wertvolle Tipps über Paris, über Ecken, die man sonst nicht im Reiseführer stehen hat.

Carmen, Jose and even little Garance, who presented us every now and then a friendly smile, were warm and careful hosts. From the beginning on we felt that it is a pleasure for them to get to know other people and to pass on the beauties of their own vicinity to others.
Our stay in this fantastic flat was thought-out in detail: the guide-booklet that led us from the train station to the house and let us get to know the surrounding area, the possibility to enjoy at a small bistro-table Paris by night with a glass of wine, the small candle on this table, the freedom to prepare a cup of tea for breakfast, the free availability of the Velibcards and the smart phone. Priceless for a tourist are the many small tips we got in the pleasant, personal conversations with the parents. We rapidly felt like visiting the home of old friends.
We’ll surely come back – when its warm outside. -

Carmen and José are very nice hosts, always helpful with giving directions and recommendations for restaurants, sightseeings and streets to walk. In addition, it was a pleasure to meet their lovely baby-daughter Garance. All together a gorgeous family!

José, Carmen and Garance were very welcoming. Upon arrival, they offered me coffee and were very helpful in showing me around the apartment. They are accustomed to receiving people in their home and take pride in making their guests have the best experience possible!

Excellent company. Very relaxed atmosphere . Views are really stunning. The bikes are very extremely useful and they are everywhere. we really enjoyed the hospitality !! highly recommended.
